So I was into the Trip-hop for a bit there with Unkle and all, and I have decided to venture back.. as depressing as it may be sometimes..

So I can’t remember where I heard the tune, but for some reason I feel like it was in a movie somewhere, and a sped up modern version of Blue Rondo a la Turk, but had like a hip-hop feel to it. I came across this album, and more specifically this song that reminded me of this, which seems like something you’d find in an indie film or something. So anyways the artist is Diego Bernal, the album Four Corners, and the track Dusty Sanchez. I haven’t gotten a chance to listen to this album in full yet, but am excited at the prospects..

So it has been two weeks, and no word from Tower about my CD I ordered. I hope to hear something soon, but who knows.. I almost thought about having them refund my money so I could buy the “Since I Left You” single on 12″, which HAS the two songs I am looking for off that $30 CD.. Oh well.. I have three move albums I want to buy from them, in vinyl

Yea, I can’t sleep.. I do the whole medication thing once a week now to control a certain issue, and it hurts like hell.. but it is all worth it in the end, but you’d kinda have to be me to understand that..
So what am I doing at 5:15am? I am listening to Live at Cornerstone, AGAIN! I can’t get over this one part in the remix where it transitions out of some Mexican music, and into a mega fuckn remix of America - Ventura Highway with hints of the Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Main Attraction, the Mexican song that comes before it, horns, and etc.. and it is absolutely fuckn beautiful! Yea.. it’s another Avalanches remix, but I have a LOT to listen to, haha..
Speaking of the Avalanches, like every other post in this blog (I am a tad bit obsessive I guess), I came across two videos last night of interest..

I know it kind of looks like this was working out to be a music blog, but far from it. I love music, but I can’t write about it forever! So what is going on? Not a whole hell of a lot lately. I have been hanging around at home all week, mainly being lazy, working on some stuff here and there, and just trying to enjoy vacation as much as possible. I have one more week of vacation before graduation, and it may be my last for a while, except for the time between graduation and getting a job. Here is what I have done this week, in bullet form, since EVERYONE loves bullets:
- Sleep
- I bought an Xbox 360 for $125 with four games. Then I sold my PSP back to Game Stop and got some accessories for it, including Live, a headset, and the memory card (no hard drive or internal memory). I also got the charge kid for nothing at Best Buy thanks to rewards zone ($25 in certificates). I have only really been playing COD4.
- Discovering new music, and listening to a lot of random other stuff.
- Went to Portland Monday to find Robbie.
- Worked on my guitar and my amp a bit more.
- Started this blog over again.
- Dentist appointment today. Wisdom teeth don’t have to come out.. WOO!
And that is basically my week. I have to head back into Farmington tomorrow to do some WUMF stuff, but after that, I should have a pretty relaxing weekend! I plan on going back Sunday night/Monday morning, but we’ll see how that pans out!
